There are some fantastic local bands around too. Perhaps gigging nearby (in which case we try to get them on the calendar), but please do have a browse if you fancy travelling a little further. BIRO - Black Isle Rock Orchestra

Biro are a five piece covers band who have established themselves as one of the most popular and most in demand ‘party’ bands in the North of Scotland - Gig Guide.

Black Rock Ceilidh Band

from Evanton - Gig Guide - "From Acoustic Intimacy to Adrenalin fuelled Nitro Ceilidh" - gigs all over the Highlands.

Blazin Fiddles

An amazing collections of artists from Scotland providing varied a mix of sensitive and energetic sets. See the Gig Guide here. Blazin Fiddles also run an amazing week long workshop every October in Beauly - Blazin in Beauly. And, Rua MacMillan held a music and arrangement workshop in Bonar Bridge in Oct 2016, along with Suzanne Fivey (Houston).

Corralach

An Inverness folk duo performing Scottish, Irish and American folk music along with some tunes they've written themselves and some lovely harmonies. See their calendar here

Peter Price

Ok, so Peter doesn't live in Scotland, but part of his heart is here. Peter performs Accoustic Blues & Beyond and held a fantasic workshop in Bonar Bridge in Oct 2016, sharing some of his magical secrets. Find out more about Peter here (Facebook page).

The Spiers Family Group

from the North East (of Scotland... just to avoid confusion ;) - Emma, Maggie & Tom are all individual award winners for various Scottish Traditional Song awards. Read more about them on their website here and on Facebook here

Suzanne Houston

Suzanne is a great musician and tutor, travelling all over Scotland. If you're looking for someone to run a workshop, please do get in touch. She also specialises in school tuition and is a qualified Colourstrings teacher. More information here.

Susanna Wolfe

Singer songwriters. A familiar mix of celebration and reflection combined with easy musical energy and intuition. Abundant choruses, guest instrumental exchanges and joyful harmonies. Highland Roots.
